Mecha Duel (20-Second Jam 2022)
This game is not designed to run on your device. Add it to a collection to play later, or you can try to run it anyway.
A two-player versus game played in 20-second matches for the 20-Second Game Jam.
Player 1 uses keyboard and mouse controls. Player 2 uses gamepad controls. Controls are shown in the opening of the game, and can be accessed between rounds.
I used Corgi Engine as a starting point (all assets in the game are from Corgi Engine, though I painted over the character sprite so it would look less dog-like and more mech-like). My inspiration for signing up for this game jam was to make a small prototype using a control scheme I had in mind with a free-flying character. As I was getting the controls working the way I wanted, I started to think it would make sense as a versus game.
